A Smile and a Wave

It’s great to see that the environment has been taken into consideration in producing these crystal whisky tumblers. They are made in the Czech Republic and the glasses themselves have a good thickness to them, with an attractive design. I particularly like the way they feel in the hand, being a good size and weight. The only thing which concerns me is the packaging in which they are provided. It is attractive in its own way but there is a lot of foam and thick, coated cardboard which concerns me as it doesn’t look particularly environmentally friendly, especially if it is only thrown away after purchase. The glasses have proven to be very good and as a gift set I do like it, but I’m reluctant to accept its claims of being environmentally friendly with this packaging.

Kurz vor Weihnachten kamen die Gläser bei mir an. Eigentlich habe ich sie verschenken wollen, leider war die Verpackung deformiert (durch den Versand), daher habe ich sie selbst behalten.

- Optik / Aufmachung: Die Verpackung ist optisch auf den ersten Blick recht hochwertig, besteht dann bei genauerem Hinsehen aber auch nur aus Pappe, etwas schwarzem Styopor und dünner Folie. Die Gläser selbst sehen absolut klasse aus.
- Qualität: Ich bin auf dem Bereich absolut kein Fachmann. Die Gläser sind absolut ohne Makel verarbeitet, die Details sehen klasse aus. Die Angaben des Herstellers zur Herstellung und den Materialien kann ich nicht überprüfen. Von der Wertigkeit unterscheiden sich die Gläser aber schon klar von billigen Gläsern. Alleine das Gewicht ist fast doppelt so hoch.
- Preis: Der ist für mich irgendwie gefühlt zu hoch. Klar, die Dinger sind klasse, aber keine bekannte Marke und selbst in einem guten Whisky- Laden kostet so ein Glas eher weniger.

Fazit: Super Gläser, mittelmäßige Verpackung, dafür etwas zu teuer, finde ich…
